Ajuga (Bugleweed)
One of the easiest groundcovers you can sell. Grows in shade or full sun, fills in fast with glossy foliage from deep bronze to pink and cream, and covers itself in blue flower spikes come spring. Hardy to 30 below, six inches tall, spreads ten inches wide.
Delosperma
Easy, sun loving perennials with bright color and hardly any fuss. Give them good drainage and they are ready for pots, beds, or rock gardens. Fire Spinner hardy 5a to 8b, Jewel of Desert 5a to 10b.

Ivy (Hedera helix)
Ivy trails over the edge of a basket or combo pot and fills in as a ground cover, anywhere from full shade to part sun. Evergreen and winter hardy, trails or climbs, low maintenance. Every ivy brings its own leaf: tight little stars, bold ripples of white and gold, classic deep greens.
Sedum (Stonecrop)
Low, tough succulents that carpet dry ground and spill over pot edges, and come back thicker every year. Drought tough once established, color from spring to frost, easy in rocks and borders. Fast spreading mats packed with texture: needle golds, broad bronze reds, and blue rosettes that bloom pink.
Lysimachia
Fast, deep spillers for baskets and combo pots. Small rounded leaves build thick trailing texture that fills out any combo. Roots in and runs fast, spills deep over the edge, sun to part shade with steady moisture.
Setcreasea and Stachys
Purple and silver that carry a combo or a border on foliage alone. Setcreasea shrugs off summer heat, Stachys stays soft and silver all season, and both hold their color with almost no care at all.
Vinca Vine
The classic trailing vine for baskets, combos, and ground cover. Big variegated leaves pour over the edge, and violet blue flowers show up first thing in spring. Hardy in Zones 7 to 9, sun or shade, roots in as it runs.
